Providing equipment for children with unique potential

What We've Done So Far
-
With the help of our community, we were able to gift a local family an InSight Sleep Safe Bed for their child! This bed cost $7,995!
-
We were also able to secure a storage unit to hold donated equipment that remains in good condition, allowing us to share it with other families in our community. In addition, we provided two manual wheelchairs to local children who previously had no safe means of mobility.
-
We partnered with The SPOT to co-host Meridian’s first all inclusive, sensory-friendly, community event! This event had sensory friend live music, resource vendors, craft vendors, Meridian’s first ever adaptive color walk, superheros and photo ops, and so much more!
-
We partnered with The East MS Ramp Ministry to provide a wheelchair ramp for a local student at Meridian High School
Current Financial Goals

Name: Kannon Mosley
Need: He is in need of a wheelchair accessible van to transport his power chair
Details: He is completely independent with his powerchair; however, his family has no way to transport it home or in his community. Due to this, he can only use his powerchair at school. When he is outside of school, he has to be placed in a wagon or use an old manual wheelchair that is too small for him. This limits his ability to play with friends at the ball field, affects his comfort when he's at doctor appointments, and prohibits his independence.
Financial goal: We hope to raise $35,000 to buy Kannon a new van that will transport his powerchair!

All donations need to be made to The EmpowerKids Foundation and all donations are tax-deductible. Any money given will go directly to helping us meet our goal of $35,000 to buy Kannon a new van. Any donations that exceed this amount will be used to assist other children and families in our area with equipment needs.
