EVENT OVERVIEW:
Bring your family to ring in the New Year, before the Permian Monsters exhibit goes extinct!
- Win prizes as we ring in the “New Year” at 8 p.m. with a 1,000-balloon drop! (*see below)
- Dress to impress in your best glow/black light-reactive outfit
- Experience a live nocturnal animal show
- Enjoy refreshments
- Snap a picture in our 2023 photo booth
- Play fun glow games and enjoy bowling, hopscotch, and more!
- Explore the museum’s Permian Monsters: Life Before the Dinosaurs exhibit, which showcases an amazing collection of fossils and models from this relatively unknown period. View fossilized skeletons, conduct “excavations”, and see reconstructed and animatronic models of amazing creatures that dominated our ancient land and sea.
* Prizes include candy, trinkets, and animal posters. Grand prizes include a one-year Mississippi Museum of Natural Science Foundation (MMNSF) Family Membership and a museum swag bag!
MMNSF MEMBERS: $10 per person for ages 3 & up and includes the bulleted items above. Ages 2 and under are Free.
NON-MEMBERS: $12 per person for ages 3 & up and includes the bulleted items above. Ages 2 and under are Free.
