Put your engineering skills to the test at Tombigbee State Park's inaugural cardboard boat regatta! Race against friends, family, and even strangers in a boat made entirely of cardboard and duct tape. Can your creation stay afloat?
Rules:• Teams must consist of at least two people. Register as a team.• Only corrugated cardboard and duct tape may be used for boat structure. No waterproof or wax cardboard.• Duct tape is allowed on seams only – not on the entire hull!• Decorations can be made from any material, but must not add structural support.• Latex paint may only be used above the waterline.• All boat pieces must be disposed of after the event, including those that fall into the water.• Life jackets (PFDs) will be provided and must be worn while on the water.
