About the event

Family Crafternoons is a monthly educational series that consists of an afternoon of story time and crafts for children ages 3 – 8 and their parent/guardian to do together with Education Director, Amanda Bush. Crafts are based on artworks that are currently on view at the museum, and will conclude with a tour of the exhibition the project was inspired by. February’s craft is inspired by a locket owned by Pleasant Reed and his wife Georgia from the museum’s Pleasant Reed Interpretive Center collection.  Guests will make a locket for themselves or a loved one.  Bring a small photo (no larger than 2″ x 2″) of someone special to attach to your locket.
